Parker's Un-Birthday

My three boys...the loves of my life! In case you were wondering Chopper loves Parker, too and they are doing great together. Not that Chopper ever needed an excuse to sleep, but where ever Parker is sleeping you will find Chopper close by.

Friday, August 22 will be Parker's Happy Un-Birthday...the day he was actually due! My doctor has two children that were born early and she said they have always had an un-birthday party for them on their actual due date. I thought it was a great idea and it will be a special way for us to remember all the miracles and blessings we have received over these last five weeks.

Our little guy is a month old now and we still can't believe how fast time has flown by! He is a wonderful baby and we are having so much fun with him. We have been going on walks and spending a lot of time with family and friends. Everyone seems to want to know if he is sleeping through the night...the answer is no, but it's hard to be upset at something so cute! 2:30 - 4:00 am seems to be one of his "awake" times during the day. Even though I wish it was 2:30 - 4:00 pm it is such a special time for me and my son to spend together with just the two of us while the rest of world sleeps. Parker is happy and healthy. He weighs nearly 8 lbs now and is growing like a weed. He was already 22 inches at his last appointment, so we are pretty sure he is taking after his daddy and will probably be taller than me by the time he is 10.

Doctor Appointment

Parker had his first doctor appointment yesterday. He now weighs 6lbs 3oz and is 20 inches long. He is doing really well and adjusting to being at home.
